"Wonderful experience!"
Let me start by saying that I am EXTREMELY picky about beds. I have horrible arthritis in my legs and back and require a bed which is firm but also soft. I sleep on a pillow top mattress at home and if the hotel I stay in does not have a mattress that is comfortable to me I don't have a very nice time. This hotel was a great experience for me.
I stayed at the Hampton Inn East in Flagstaff for 4 nights at the end of May 2011. Our party had two rooms, one room with a couple in their 80's and our room both of us over 50. We had never been to Arizona before so this was our first trip. We found the Hampton to be delightful. Beds were super comfortable, the room was extremely clean, fresh towels everyday, linens fluffed and beds made everyday. Service at the front desk was super and they were always willing to help and were friendly. Some had commented about "train noise" and there is a sign at the front desk about it but we didn't find it disturbing. I think unless you are an EXTREMELY LIGHT sleeper this is a non issue. The continental breakfast was good and sufficient for our needs. One of our party fell on the last day (not at the hotel) and required crutches. The hotel doesn't have a wheelchair but they did allow us to use one of their office chairs to get the guest to the room. As I said, they were extremely helpful. This is a great location for exploring and a good base of operations, if you will. We went to the Grand Canyon, Snowbowl, Painted Desert, Verde Canyon Railroad, Senoda and downtown Flagstaff and found this to be an excellent location to base our trip from. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again should I ever go back West.

"Hilton comfort for Comfort Inn price - A great value near Grand Canyon"
We stopped here on our way back from Zion. I've always loved hampton inns and this one was no exception. The staff was very nice. The pool was excellent. And the breakfast was great. All that and it wasn't much more than other chains. Whenever we see Hampton Inn it's our first choice. We didn't visit the grand canyon from this hotel so I can't comment about that but we did visit sunset crater and the waptuki pueblo and both were very close to the hotel (15 minutes?). There were plenty of restaurants just a few minutes away and it's near the freeway. Location is great.

"We stayed only one night but we loved it. It met or exceeded Hampton inn standards. Front desk was busy but very helpful. Indoor pool, great breakfast. Hotel can be hard to find so get directions first."

"This was the best stay we have had in a long time. The staff was courtesy and friendly, knew the town and knew where to send us. The rooms were clean and looked as if they were just built. This hotel was an A+ compared to some of the other locations we stopped at along Route 66."

"Great hotel, nice rooms, big bathrooms, great breakfast, good hotel staff. The hotel looks like it is brand new. A great place to stay would highly recommend it."

"I was very happy with the hotel, the comforters were the softest, and best I have ever encountered in a hotel. The breakfast was also much better than expected. I thought it was just going to be a donut and coffee type thing but it included hot foods. The only issue was that the street signs were not marked well enough and the entrance seemed to be hidden behind the Days Inn, there was a cluster of about four hotels at this location. Overall this experience changed my opinion of Hampton. Prior to this stay I did not want to stay there and only booked with them because they were the only one of the Hilton Brands that had a vacancy when we needed it."

"This hotel made me feel comfortable: The rooms were very nice and the beds were so soft and comfy. The linens were fresh and clean smelling and super soft, not scratchy at all. Even the pillows were extraordinary. They had both soft and hard pillows to please all types. My whole family was pleased."

"I brought in business clients and we stayed at the location. Check in was quick and informative. The front desk gave us maps and told us the easy ways to get to shopping, eating and the night life locations. When we showed up they were baking fresh cookies and had fresh fruit there at the desk for us. The pool was great, heated and indoors. The trains no longer sound their horns in Flagstaff. So being near a train is no longer an issue for Flagstaff Hotels and Motels."
