The Grand Canyon South Rim.

Start your tour of the Grand Canyon at the Grand Canyon Village in the South Rim. Explore the Verkamp's Visitor Center, a former curio shop, then take a winding scenic drive down Hermit Road. The South Rim is packed with historic landmarks, gorgeous vistas, and canyon side picnic areas that let you take in the stunning beauty and landscape. Must-see attractions include the Hopi House, the historic El Tovar Hotel and the Desert View Watchtower, a four story stone structure designed by Mary Colter.

The Grand Canyon North Rim.

The Grand Canyon's North Rim is the road less traveled, with few visitors actually making the five hour, 220 mile drive north. Those who do are treated to spectacular panorama views and gorgeous sunsets. Start your visit at the North Rim Visitor Center, located next to the Grand Canyon lodge. Make a stop at Bright Angel Point for classic views of the canyon, then make the trek along a winding scenic road to Point Imperial, the highest point of the North Rim with stellar views of the colorful Painted Desert and the eastern end of the
Grand Canyon.
